Vung Tau Pilot Enterprise is a unit under Vung Tau Shipping and Services Joint Stock Company, with extensive experience in the field of maritime pilotage. Vung Tau Pilot Enterprise was established under Decision No. 236/QD-UBT dated 5/5/1995 of BRVT Provincial People's Committee. According to Decision No. 813/QD-CHHVN dated January 1, 2012, Vung Tau Pilot Enterprise performs the task of providing maritime pilotage services on ship navigation routes:

-  Dinh river route: from the pilot pick-up and drop-off area to ports on the Dinh river

- Thi Vai route: from the pilot pick-up and drop-off area to ports on Thi Vai river - Cai Mep;

- Con Dao route: from the pilot pick-up and drop-off area to the ports of Con Dao seaport;

- Vietnam territory transit route on the money river channel from Cua Tieu to Vinh Xuong.

Means of transporting pilots:  The company has 07 7-seat cars and 05 canoes, including 01 aluminum-shell high-speed canoe (worth nearly 10 billion VND) to meet all the requirements of transporting pilots on all ships, including passenger ships, large container ships. The above-mentioned vehicles are fully equipped with modern communication equipment such as VHF, AIS in order to keep smooth communication between the vehicles and the pilots leading the ships on the channels and agencies and units. Relevant positions such as: Port Authority, seaports, VTS stations... as well as with the dispatching department, the management board of the enterprise and the company's leaders. In addition, to meet the increasing requirements in the transportation of pilots, the Company is building a new high-speed canoe with a length of 18 meters, a total investment of 18.7 billion VND, expected to be put into operation. operating in 2017, contributing to improving the quality of maritime pilotage service provision.

Annually, XHT safely leads 9,000 - 12,000 ships in and out of ports in the region. 2014: 10,803 ships; 2015: 11,147 ships; 2016: 11,106 trains.
